“HTN is a wealth of knowledge for my team. My team of programmers are all young/green, most are right out of school, and this is their first job, and they are not clinical (e.g., the position requires only a computer science degree and no clinical background) so we often rely on the knowledge and expertise of the HTN group to help us understand complexities of workflows and the Cerner build. The HTN group, are great at providing an understanding of why the system should/should not be setup in a particular way and are sure to point out any clinical effects and system effects for things done incorrectly. The HTN group is ALWAYS willing to share knowledge with my team and that is an invaluable asset to working with them. One example is training my team on the event set hierarchy, which is a cumbersome and finicky piece of the Cerner build. Rather than just pointing out how it should be done or when it was done incorrectly, the HTN team jumped in and helped build up my team and their knowledge on it."
